First Impressions

Size

Plenty of room to grow

The size was a big part of my decision when picking a travel stroller. I wanted to find something that would provide comfort for my 4-year-old for years to come. The UPPABaby Minu V2 has an impressive 17in seatback, which is just as tall and comfortable as I hoped. My daughter (who refuses to take serious photos) has plenty of room to grow.

Canopy

The canopy is LARGE. It has a zip-out section that I missed in the stroller unboxing video, but it provides PLENTY of shade when it is open. I could see this being a lifesaver in hot climates.

Lower Basket

Lower baskets are one of my favorite parts of a stroller, and UPPABaby always delivers in this department. In fact, the lower basket of my VISTA was so roomy that I used to use it in place of a shopping cart. The UPPABaby Minu V2 also comes through for storage. For a travel stroller, it has a very roomy basket. Plenty of space to store snacks, travel needs, souvenirs, toys, and whatever you may need on the go.

Ride

Sooooo smooth. Durability and a smooth ride were more reasons I chose the Minu V2. While I have not had the opportunity to test it on uneven terrain yet (don’t worry, I will later, and I’ll let you know about it), the sturdiness of the frame and smooth roll make me think it will hold up.

Fold

Yes, it’s easy! Folding the stroller truly is one-handed and the integrated carry strap means it’s easy to pick up and go. Opening does require two hands- one to flip open the locking clip and one to open. However, the opening is smooth and it easily locks into the open position.

No, The UPPABaby Minu V2 does not have the smallest fold out there (see video for fold demonstration). However, the smooth ride and sturdiness are a fair trade-off, in my opinion. If you remove the bumper bar, it folds small enough to fit into the overhead bin of a large airplane, but you may have to gate-check for smaller planes.
